"Hi! My name
is Dr. Robert Ramirez. I am a physician with a local
medical group on the South Side. Like most physicians,
my schedule tends to be hectic; I usually average
12-hour work days, at least 5 days a week. However,
in spite of this busy lifestyle, I've always had
a passion for music, especially classical, and for
a long time I've had a burning desire to learn how
to play the piano, despite not having any good opportunities
for formal instruction until recently.
A little over a year ago, I seized an
opportunity to start piano lessons, beginning an exhilarating
journey of personal enrichment for me. But then things
really began to take off when my wife purchased a baby
grand piano for me from Alamo Music Center for Christmas
last year, with the assistance of Tommy as our sales agent.
Since then, I practice piano at home every chance I get;
in addition, thanks to the enormous generosity of the
staff of Alamo Music Center, I'm able to practice almost
every day in their piano show room during my lunch breaks.
I'm proud of the fact that, after only one year of training,
I can now perform a Mozart sonata! Thanks, in part, to
Alamo Music Center, I am now in thorough pursuit of my
dream of becoming a classical pianist, despite the long
road ahead!"
